• About the Society:

  The general objective of the society is to foster science and clinical work in the field of inborn errors of metabolism in childhood and support institutions involved.
  
  Therefore it aims to:

  • gather people interested in the field inborn errors of metabolism and neonatal screening in order to improve the knowledge and interest in this topic
  • promote collaborative studies and scientific links between public and private institutions committed to this medical field and promote regular meetings
  • courses in IEM and stimulate the creation of reference centers for neonatal screening and diagnosis of inherited metabolic disorders
  • advertise the new diagnostic and scientific advances in inborn errors
