Ketogenic Dietary therapies (KDT) 2026 – Conference

12–14 November 2026

REGISTRATION WEBSITE

Warm welcome to the second meeting for Ketogenic Dietary Therapies!

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Conference on Ketogenic Dietary Therapies (KDT) 2026, taking place from November 12 to 14, 2026 at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU), House C, in Salzburg. On behalf of the Austrian Society for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and the International Society for Low-Carb and Ketogenic Diets, we are delighted to host you in this beautiful city and to bring together clinicians, researchers, dietitians, and all professionals committed to advancing ketogenic approaches in medicine.

Under the conference motto “From Empiricism to Evidence,” KDT2026 will explore how ketogenic dietary therapies have evolved from long-standing clinical experience into increasingly robust, evidence-based interventions. Across three days, the program will cover the scientific foundations of KDT, practical implementation in daily care, safety considerations, and emerging research that continues to refine and expand the field. A particular focus will again be placed on clinical applications across a wide spectrum of indications, from metabolic and neurological disorders to endocrine, oncological, renal, and psychiatric contexts—always with an eye toward translating knowledge into meaningful outcomes for patients.

Building on the strong foundation of the 2024 meeting in Innsbruck, 2026 marks an important step forward: the conference will be internationally oriented, featuring a broader range of globally recognized speakers and perspectives. This expanded format is designed to foster deeper cross-border exchange, encourage new collaborations, and highlight both established and innovative work from around the world.

Beyond the scientific sessions, we warmly invite you to use this meeting to connect with colleagues, share experiences, and discuss the latest developments in a collegial and forward-looking atmosphere. We look forward to your active participation and to an inspiring KDT2026 in Salzburg.

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Cramer
a.o. Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Barbara Kofler
PD Dr. Sabine Scholl-Bürgi
