MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

Applications can be received at any time. A decision will be made within 6 weeks of the application being received.

Membership Support Scholarship Fund
Applications are invited for membership support from this fund, set up to allow workers in the inborn errors of metabolism and related fields who are financially unable to join the society, to have access to the benefits of membership.


Successful applicants will become members of the Society for one to a maximum of five years (worth 20 to 700 Euro at 2021 subscription rates); the actual period will be based on individual circumstances. They will receive current mailings of the Journal of Inherited Metabolic Disease (JIMD) and online access to the JIMD & JIMD Reports. This includes the Review and Short Communications issues from the previous year's symposium as well as the regular issues. They will also receive the current members' handbook and discount in attending the SSIEM Symposium and SSIEM Courses & Events.


Apply online by submitting the following PDF documents:
1. A statement of not more than 250 words stating why you need financial support.
2. A brief summary of your career and interests in inborn errors of metabolism and career intentions.
3. A letter of support from your Head of Department or Institution, or from a Senior Colleague.
